CAL Communications Deploys VoIP Service Using New Global Telecom's 6DegreesIP Product Suite

CHICAGO and GOLDEN, Colo., June 21 /PRNewswire/ -- CAL Communications, Inc. (CAL Comm), a reseller of telephone systems and long-distance services as well as a provider of Voice, Data and Fiber Optics Systems integration, announced today that it will be delivering VoIP services to the business market using a turnkey IP product solution from New Global Telecom (NGT), the leading U.S. provider of outsourced switching and network operations services.

NGT's 6DegreesIP product suite will provide CAL Comm with advanced telephony application packages and associated network and business support elements. Integration with CAL Comm's gateway switch in Chicago will enable delivery of national and international telecommunications services. CAL Comm will focus initially on sales to Chicago area small- and mid-size businesses (SMBs), including the company's 2,500 end-user customer base, as well as new prospects within this market. Expansion is planned to additional cities in the 2005-06 timeframe.
