An assistant high school principal in San Antonio has sued two students and their parents over a fake Myspace Web page she says caused her emotional distress.
Anna Draker, the assistant principal at Clark High School, has charged the 16-year-olds and their parents with defamation, libel, negligence and negligent supervision. She is seeking payment of lost wages and court costs. Her attorney Murphy Klasing said while Draker wants the students to face consequences, Primarily, her goal here is accountability, the San Antonio Express News reported Friday.
The defendants are junior Benjamin Schreiber and sophomore Ryan Todd. Their parents face charges of negligence and negligent supervision over the page on the free Web site MySpace.com.
Draker found the fake MySpace.com page in April and in her suit says it was filled with lewd, defamatory and obscene comments, pictures and graphics, said Klasing.
The page was also written as if it were Draker herself who had posted the information.
Schreiber also faces criminal felony charges, the Express News reported.
