MicroTel International Inc. (OTCBB:MCTL), an international manufacturer of defense and aerospace electronic components and subsystems and communication equipment, today announced that its French subsidiary CXR Anderson Jacobson (CXR-AJ) has secured further orders worth approximately $500,000 in the critical European credit card verification market for point of sale terminals from a major end user. This order for its market-leading X.25 ISDN equipment follows other recent orders for CXR-AJ's recently announced back office secure servers and remote access equipment for similar applications.
Eric Piaget, director of marketing for CXR-AJ, stated: "CXR has established a market leading position for the transmission of secure information from the point of sale to the banks. Our CXR-AJ brand and products have become synonymous with the requirements for reliability and security and with the flexibility to work with systems integrators to produce a successful seamless application."
Graham Jefferies, executive vice president of MicroTel, commented: "Addressing this market is a key part of our Network Access strategy. The potential market is very large and while we have secured substantial orders in the past for our traditional ISDN product we are now focused on future opportunities with our new next generation of secure servers and remote access equipment which are faster and compatible with IP networks."
