Amedia Networks Builds Dynamic Management Team; John Colton Appointed Vice President of Engineering

Amedia Networks (OTC BB: AANI, Berlin Stock Exchange: TEJ), a pioneer in the design and development of Ethernet broadband solutions for the communications industry, today announced John Colton has joined the company as Vice President of Engineering.

Mr. Colton joins industry veterans to round out the executive management team in support of the Company's growth.

John Colton, VP of Engineering, is responsible for Engineering and Product Development. Mr. Colton has over 35 years experience in telecommunications. Prior to joining Amedia Networks, John was Vice President of Architecture, Systems Engineering, and Product Management for Lambda Optical Systems. Previously, John founded JRC Consulting, where he provided consulting advice in the fields of optical communications, voice and data switching, and FTTP. From 1996-1999, he was Optical Networking Group Product Management Director for Lucent DWDM products. Prior to that, John held various technical directing positions with Bell Labs and AT&T. He holds an SMEE from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and a BSEE from the University of Pennsylvania.

Raj Varadarajan, VP of Business Operations and Product Management, is responsible for product planning, outsourcing and manufacturing, customer deployment and service, project management, budget management and internal operations. Mr. Varadarajan has over 20 years of experience in the Telecommunications Industry, serving in a number of technical and leadership positions in Lucent Technologies, Bell Laboratories, NCR and AT&T. Raj also brings significant experience in the product development of computer systems, network management systems, consumer products and enterprise communication systems with responsibilities for technology, features, performance, vendor sourcing, product cost, quality and project management.

Bill Zakowski, VP of Sales and Business Development, is responsible for business development, sales and marketing. Mr. Zakowski possesses more than 21 years of experience in the Telecommunications Industry, serving in a number business development and product management positions in Bell Labs and AT&T. He has previously led teams of Product Managers and Members of Technical Staff in support of the development, training, marketing and customer satisfaction goals for global service providers in the long haul DWDM market. Bill served as Senior Director of Business Development and Product Management for NanoOpto Corporation, a company that develops markets and sells nano-optic components for telecom and consumer applications. Bill holds an MS degree from Columbia University and a BS degree from the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy.

Joe Capasso, Director of Product Management, is a 20-year veteran of the telecommunications industry. Mr. Capasso is responsible for offer development, application engineering, and customer support. Most recently, Mr. Capasso was Vice President of Business Development at AVC Global services, a network engineering, installation and technical support Services Company. Prior to this, Mr. Capasso was Vice President at TerraWorx, Inc., a Tyco International subsidiary focused on the commercialization of Tyco's undersea DWDM technology for terrestrial ultra-long-haul networks. Mr. Capasso was intimately involved in fiber optic system engineering and development after joining Bell Labs in 1982. Mr. Capasso holds an MSEE degree from Columbia University, and a BSEE degree from Trinity College.
