Sona Mobile Joins the Alcatel Applications Partner Program

Posted on: Thursday, 28 September 2006, 09:00 CDT

Sona Mobile Holdings Corp. (OTCBB: SNMB) today announced that the company has been accepted to Alcatel's Application Partner Program (AAPP) following successful completion of the certification process that verifies the compatibility and internetworking between Sona's CallMaster and Alcatel's My Teamwork conferencing and collaboration solution. The goal of AAPP is to support companies, like Sona, that develop communications applications based on Alcatel's enterprise solutions.

The combination of Alcatel's My Teamwork and Sona's CallMaster application is a powerful tool designed to significantly cut corporate telecommunications costs. The CallMaster application works in conjunction with My Teamwork's server, to reduce international mobile phone bills by redirecting outgoing mobile phone calls to the corporate telephone network. In doing so, callers take advantage of their corporation's negotiated call tariffs, usually considerably lower than mobile carriers' international tariffs. In addition, customers using CallMaster can initiate conference calls from their mobile devices, again taking advantage of lower costs than traditional conferencing call tools.

Reflecting Sona's channel strategy, CallMaster will be offered through Alcatel's extensive network of distribution partners including T-Systems, the leading European information and communications technology (ICT) outsourcer.

"Our CallMaster application is generating significant interest with enterprise customers. We have several trials in our backlog and plan to begin commercial installations shortly," said Shawn Kreloff, Sona Mobile Chairman and CEO. "In Alcatel we have a valuable partner with a strong brand. It is a $16 Billion plus company with a truly global reach. I see our partnership as an important vehicle for penetrating the large enterprise customer base and making CallMaster a success."
