Kathy McKim Appointed Vice President-External Affairs for AT&T California - Sacramento Area

SACRAMENTO, Calif., Oct. 3 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- AT&T California today announced the appointment of Kathy McKim as vice president, External Affairs, Sacramento area.
McKim will head the company's local government and community affairs activities in the Sacramento area which includes offices in Sacramento, Redding, Stockton, Modesto and Fresno. She will head a team of external affairs managers responsible for advancing the company's public policy efforts. McKim and her team serve as the face of the company in the community -- coordinating local government and philanthropic initiatives,
Ms. McKim is returning to California from San Antonio, Texas, where she held positions in the company's External Affairs organization and ran sales operations for the Global and Enterprise Business unit of SBC before its merger with AT&T. She began her career with Pacific Bell and has held a variety of positions in business and consumer marketing, sales and strategic planning.
"Kathy's extensive knowledge of AT&T's business objectives coupled with her understanding of California will be invaluable as she leads her team in the Sacramento area," said Dave Nichols, senior vice president for External Affairs for AT&T.
McKim earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in psychology and public affairs from the University of Denver and a Master's degree in business administration from the University of San Francisco. She and her husband Mike will reside in the Sacramento area with their daughter Madison.
