Arrow Electronics Unveils Tool for Network Associates and Symantec Partners to Renew Licensing Agreements

Posted on: Monday, 28 June 2004, 06:00 CDT

The MOCA Division of Arrow Electronics, Inc. (NYSE:ARW), a leading Sun Microsystems, Inc. channel development provider, today announced that partners who sell Network Associates or Symantec software can search their own past sales data to identify upcoming license renewals.

By using a new query feature on VORTEX, the MOCA Division's proprietary Web-based marketing tool designed exclusively for iForce partners, enterprise software partners now have access to all historical sales data such as end-user contact information, purchase details, and licensing period.

"All accounts are required to renew software licenses, but they aren't required to renew them through the original provider," said Rich Severa, president, MOCA Division. "The new query tool provides the information necessary for our partners to proactively contact customers with approaching expirations before they entertain the decision to go with another provider."

With robust search capabilities, the new query tool was financially supported by Network Associates and Symantec, and is free of charge to Arrow's iForce partners.
