CTO To Participate in Java Business Integration Vendor Panel To Discuss Importance of Extending J2EE as a Platform for Interoperability
SeeBeyond (Nasdaq:SBYN), a provider of the world's first fully integrated suite for the deployment of advanced integration and composite application development solutions, announced today that it will showcase its SeeBeyond Integrated Composite Application Network (ICAN) Suite 5.0 at this week's JavaOne Developer Conference. As the definitive source for the latest news and updates on Java(TM) technology developments, Sun Microsystems' Annual Worldwide Java Developer Conference is being held June 28 - July 1, in San Francisco, Calif.
As an exhibitor at the conference, SeeBeyond will be available to discuss with attendees the importance of leveraging a unified, standards-based platform as the foundation of their business integration initiatives. With the SeeBeyond ICAN Suite 5.0, organizations can deploy a comprehensive J2EE-certified integration platform based on a service-oriented architecture. As one of the first vendors to support the execution of its application integration functionality on third-party Java(TM) 2 Platform, Enterprise Edition (J2EE(TM)) compatible application servers, SeeBeyond continues to underscore its commitment to playing an integral role in driving interoperability to accelerate the optimization of business processes for competitive advantage.
"The services-oriented architecture and its supporting standards are hot topics at JavaOne this year," said Roger Nolan, senior director, Web services Integration Product Marketing, Sun Microsystems. "It's essential to have partners like SeeBeyond promote this development concept to JavaOne participants, not only because they're established SOA thought leaders, but because they understand the importance of having J2EE platform standards at the SOA core."
Also at the conference, SeeBeyond CTO Ross Altman will participate in the Java One 2004 Vendor Panel entitled, "Java(TM) Business Integration: JSR 208". The panel is scheduled to take place on Monday, June 28, from 2:15-3:15 p.m. (PDT), and will be moderated by John Crupi, Distinguished Systems Engineer, Sun Microsystems. The panel, made up of Sun experts and members of the JSR 208 Expert Group, will feature a discussion about Java(TM) Business Integration (JBI), JSR 208, as an industry-standard effort to extend the J2EE platform. The primary topics to be covered by the panelists include:
-- Primary business integration issues facing customers today
-- Key elements of the JSR 208 architecture from a vendor perspective
-- The impact of JSR 208 on the industry from a vendor perspective
