Twenty Five Bay Area Historic Sites to Host Special Open House As Part of the American Express Partners in Preservation Program

SAN FRANCISCO, Oct. 13 /PRNewswire/ -- WHAT: OPEN HOUSE: The twenty-five Bay Area sites that are on the voting slate of the American Express Partners in Preservation Program will open their doors to the public for a special Open House. The recently-announced million dollar preservation initiative from American Express and the National Trust for Historic Preservation encourages the public to take part in the program by experiencing these local sites and by casting their vote (online) in the grant selection process.

The program has been embraced by the community with thousands flocking to the web site (http://www.partnersinpreservation.com/) on a daily basis to vote.

All of the historical sites will either be open for public tours, or in circumstances where tours aren't possible, representatives will be on hand to share the information about the site and educate the public on the role the site has played in its community.

Come out and enjoy the afternoon discovering a landmark you've never visited or showing your support for a place that's special to you. **No reservations are necessary**
