Time Warner Telecom Elects Schrott to Board of Directors

LITTLETON, Colo., July 1 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Time Warner Telecom Inc. , a leading provider of managed voice and data networking solutions for businesses, today announced that Howard L. Schrott has been elected to its Board of Directors, effective today.
Mr. Schrott will serve as Chairman of the Audit Committee and as a member of the Compensation and Human Resources and Benefits committees. He is deemed to be an independent director on Time Warner Telecom's Board of Directors, as defined by NASDAQ listing standards.

Mr. Schrott is Chief Financial Officer of Greenville, S.C.-based Liberty Corporation, owner and operator of 15 network affiliated television stations. Prior to joining Liberty, Mr. Schrott was Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer for Wink Communications. Previously, he was Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer for Emmis Communications Corporation. Mr. Schrott is a graduate of Butler University and earned a Juris Doctorate from the Indiana University School of Law in Indianapolis.
Mr. Schrott is replacing Anthony R. Muller, whose plans to leave the Board in 2004, were previously announced by the Company. "We thank Tony for his excellent service to our Board," said Ms. Herda. "His experience aided us tremendously during his tenure on our Board."
