News Talk 1300AM KKOL Will Boost Signal to 50,000 Watts

Salem Communications Corporation (NASDAQ:SALM), a leading U.S. radio broadcaster, Internet content provider and magazine publisher targeting audiences interested in Christian and family-themed content and conservative values, today announced that 1290AM KIKN, which is simulcast with News Talk 1300AM KKOL, will terminate its signal effective October 18 in preparation of its planned improvement of KKOL's signal to 50,000 watts. Salem is taking this action as part of requirements regulated by the FCC.

The Seattle radio cluster includes stations 820 AM KGNW, News Talk 1300AM KKOL and 1290AM KIKN, 1590 AM-KLFE, 1680AM KDOW and Radio Sol 1360 AM. They are owned and operated by Salem Communications Corporation (NASDAQ:SALM), a leading U.S. radio broadcaster, Internet content provider and magazine publisher targeting audiences interested in Christian and family-themed content and conservative values.
