Transaction Network Services (NYSE:TNS), a leading provider of business-critical network and data communications services for transaction-oriented applications, announced today that it has signed a deal to provide network services for Electronic Payment Exchange (EPX), a provider of all-in-one payment processing solutions. According to the three year agreement, TNS will provide transaction transport services in the United States for merchant transactions.
Straight Through Processing from EPX solves the problems created by multiple vendor payment processing and provides efficiencies for merchants. With an end-to-end solution, EPX not only reduces merchants' costs by eliminating third-party gateway fees, but also increases speed and efficiency. TNS' network infrastructure and services allow EPX to remain focused on growing and maintaining their merchant business.
TNS is a leading provider of point-of-sale (POS) transaction processing networking. It provides transport to most major U.S. payment processors through its fully managed, value-added networks.
"Reliable data communications are a necessity in payment processing," said Matt Ornce, COO of EPX. "TNS offers a secure and trustworthy communication network that ensures our clients will continue to receive the quality services provided by EPX."
"We are very pleased that Electronic Payment Exchange has chosen TNS to provide a solid network backbone for its operations," said Heidi Goff, executive vice president and general manager of TNS' Point-of-Sale Division (POS). "TNS will give EPX the reach, flexibility and security that it and their customers demand from a fully managed transaction network."
