Transaction Network Services (NYSE:TNS), a leading provider of business-critical network and data communications services for transaction-oriented applications, announced today that it has signed a deal to provide network services for FASTLANE, a secure payment network. Under the deal, TNS will provide transaction connectivity across the United States for FASTLANE's Virtual Payment Network (VPN).
FASTLANE benefits both consumers and merchants by offering consumers convenience and merchants a secure and enhanced point of sale product offering. With a single swipe of a driver's license or state issued ID card, the consumer's identity is verified and access is gained into FASTLANE's VPN, offering consumers access to checking account debit services, loyalty and gift card services.
"We are certainly impressed with TNS' ability to provide high quality POS dial-up data transport," said Carl Towner, CEO of FASTLANE Secure Payments. "We expect FASTLANE to process large daily transaction volumes, and we have every confidence that FASTLANE's clients will enjoy superior service and reliability on the TNS platform," added Towner.
TNS is a leading provider of point-of-sale (POS) transaction processing networking and provides transport to most major U.S. payment processors through its fully managed, value-added networks. FASTLANE's choice of TNS to provide network access further enhances the security, flexibility and robustness of FASTLANE's secure VPN to its merchant and consumer customers across the nation.
"We are very pleased that FASTLANE chose TNS to provide it with a solid network infrastructure," said Heidi Goff, executive vice president and general manager of TNS' Point-of-Sale Division (POS). "Our network backbone will give FASTLANE the end-to-end connectivity, reach and security that are required for today's transaction processes."
