LightPointe Communications, Inc. Accelerates Sales, Continues to Exceed Customer Expectations With Leading Optical Wireless Solutions

LightPointe Communications, Inc., a provider of optical wireless solutions in the 100Mbps to 1.485Gbps point-to-point wireless market, today announced that the company has signed approximately 10 partners to its international distribution program. The announcement further emphasizes that the company is accelerating its international channel sales program and actively recruiting new business partners.
"Despite recent product announcements from leading Microwave Radio Frequency companies, free-space optics or optical wireless solutions are still in high demand," says P. Alexander van Dillen, LightPointe's Executive Vice President, Sales and Business Development. "The licensing requirements and radio interference in highly congested areas still makes optical wireless an attractive option when compared to other alternatives," added van Dillen.
LightPointe Communications manufactures the FlightLite™ and FlightStrata™ optical wireless products. Customers typically deploy them to connect data networks between buildings, at sporting events, on construction sites or to backhaul voice traffic from remote cellular towers. The company claims that systems can typically be installed within a few hours and can operate for many years without any maintenance.
