Posted on: Monday, 30 October 2006, 09:00 CST

NetLogic Microsystems, Inc. (NASDAQ:NETL), the leader in the design and development of knowledge-based processors, today announced that it has been named to Deloitte's prestigious Technology Fast 50 Program for Silicon Valley, a ranking of the fastest growing technology, media, telecommunications and life sciences companies in the region by Deloitte & Touche USA LLP, one of the nation's leading professional services organizations. Rankings are based on the percentage revenue growth over five years from 2001 to 2005.

"To rank on Deloitte's Technology Fast 50, companies must have phenomenal revenue growth over five years," said Mark Jensen, national director of the Venture Capital Services Group at Deloitte & Touche USA. "NetLogic Microsystems has proven to be one of the fast-growth success stories in Silicon Valley, and we applaud their dedication to making their vision a reality."

NetLogic Microsystems achieved an impressive growth rate of 3,964 percent over the last five years, growing its revenue from $2.0 million in 2001 to $81.8 million in 2005. In addition to ranking 5th on Deloitte's Silicon Valley Software & Information Technology Fast 50 list, NetLogic Microsystems was also recognized on Deloitte's 2006 Technology Fast 500 list as the 59th fastest growing company in North America. Winners of the 16 regional Technology Fast 50 programs in the United States and Canada are automatically entered in Deloitte's Technology Fast 500 program, which ranks North America's top 500 fastest growing technology, media, telecommunications and life sciences companies. Only 28 Silicon Valley technology companies made it on both the Silicon Valley and North America lists.

"To be recognized with the likes of Google, Apple Computer and NVIDIA on this year's Deloitte Silicon Valley Technology Fast 50 list is a significant tribute to the collective devotion and talent of our employees," said Ron Jankov, president and chief executive officer of NetLogic Microsystems. "This award is a recognition of our phenomenal success delivering industry-leading products that enable new levels of performance and functionality for our customers, as well as becoming the worldwide leader in knowledge-based processors."

NetLogic Microsystems' knowledge-based processors are designed into systems offered by leading networking OEMs worldwide, including AlaxalA Networks Corporation, Alcatel, ARRIS Group Inc., Cisco Systems, Inc., Ericsson, Extreme Networks, Inc., Foundry Networks, Inc., Force10 Networks, Fujitsu Limited, Hitachi, Ltd., Huawei Technologies Co., Ltd., Juniper Networks Inc., Lucent Technologies Inc., Motorola, Inc., Nortel Networks Limited and Siemens AG.

To qualify for the Technology Fast 50, companies must have had operating revenues of at least $50,000 in 2001 and $5,000,000 in 2005, be headquartered in North America, and be a company that owns proprietary technology or proprietary intellectual property that contributes to a significant portion of the company's operating revenues; or devotes a significant proportion of revenues to the research and development of technology. Using other companies' technology or intellectual property in a unique way does not qualify.

This year's Silicon Valley Technology Fast 50 program is co-presented by Deloitte & Touche USA LLP and Silicon Valley Bank, Cooly Godward Kronish LLP, Korn/Ferry International and Porsche Motorsports.
