This event will focus on consumer generated media like blogs, search engine marketing (SEM), search engine optimization (SEO), podcasting and RSS which are evolving into viable CRM strategies. Learn how experienced B2C and B2B CRM practitioners and marketers are justifying social networks and other emerging channels as part of their CRM and integrated multichannel marketing strategies by developing proven business cases and ROI models. Hear the real world experiences of the panel, comprised of industry leaders who will share their visions and best practices:
Tim Phelan, Partner, OmniVue will share his views on the influence the social aspects of the Web experience is exerting on brand perception, client perception and lead generation. Companies who don't capitalize on this will miss out on one of the most powerful and credible impressions they can make. Systematically tracking this via CRM will put them light years ahead.
According to Lisa Aloisio, Director, Corporate Communications, AutoTrader.com, "Companies need to do a serious 'gut check' before venturing into the Web 2.0 space. To survive in this space, a corporate culture must be open to all kinds of feedback as well as prepared and resourced to respond to it."
Jeff Pedowitz, Director of Professional Services, Eloqua will share insight into the impact that transparency and integrity have on the growth of social networking. For true social networking to manifest itself and grow, you have to create the structure, but empower the participants to set the course.
"There is a lot of enthusiasm and energy circulating around the new possibilities that Web 2.0 brings to our industry today," said Jeff Hilimire, President of Spunlogic and moderator of the panel discussion. "I am excited to see an organization like CRMA embracing those possibilities and helping professionals with the information they need to actually channel that energy and put emerging technologies to good use."
Social Media is about building online communities. "I recently attended a conference where I heard Elizabeth Edwards describe communities as 'a community is where people share ideas which creates bonds.' What a great opportunity for companies who are truly interested in creating relationships with their customers," said Sherry Heyl, Idealist, CEO, What A Concept!
