NT Media Corp. (OTCBB:NTMM), a diversified media and entertainment company, announced today that it is continuing it's advances in the areas of Mobile Content as well as User Generated Content. Last month, NT Media announced a distribution deal with BANGO PLC (LSE:BGO) to sell and deliver NT Media's content to mobile customers worldwide.
"We are very excited to continue our efforts in the growing sectors of Mobile Content and User Generated Content. We are now in the process of revamping our website as well as developing new content and new sites for delivering our content to the mobile user," said Ali Moussavi, CEO of NT Media. "In addition to mobile content, we are pleased to continue our pursuit of traditional media properties as well. We recently announced that we have entered into a Memorandum of Understanding to acquire the motion picture, 'Abadan' which was an official selection at the Tribeca Film Festival as well as the Singapore International Film Festival. Finally, we continue with the development of NT Music which we anticipate will have its music offerings available shortly and will be included in our new website, and we also anticipate to roll out m-commerce capability," he added.
According to a recent study from Juniper Research, the global m-commerce market will be a US$88 billion industry by 2009. Juniper believes that digital goods such as mobile entertainment -- ringtones, games, wallpaper, gambling, etc. -- will continue to be the largest application for buying and selling via the mobile phone, but that ticket purchases will also emerge as a major application area by 2007, and make up over 44% of the $88 billion global m-commerce market.
