SAN DIEGO, Nov. 1 /PRNewswire/ -- Nine Systems, the leader in comprehensive solutions for rich media production, publishing and distribution, today announced the introduction of the Nine Systems Channel Sales Program. The program provides unique growth opportunities for Nine Systems' Channel Partners by offering end-to-end streaming media solutions for referral, resale and rebranding of Stream OS, Nine Systems' suite of rich media management applications.
Nine Systems' Channel offering enables channel partners to efficiently sell and support the direct sale of Stream OS applications and related services. Support for the Nine Systems' Channel Program includes marketing, customer support, training, technical support and the ability to utilize Nine Systems' Network of Networks, the industry's first rich media distribution system.
"Our program is designed to meet the increasing demand for streaming media and online rich media management," said Michael Fay, VP Channel Development for Nine Systems. "Nine Systems recognizes the opportunity to offer Stream OS to the market through multiple channels with our end customers' goals in mind. Offering our premier technology through channel partners enables all parties in the media value chain to grow and become successful."
Leveraging Stream OS, customers can intelligently and efficiently upload, manage, publish and protect rich media content in today's popular streaming formats. Stream OS is a modular ASP that manages, in multiple formats, content management, reporting, content protection, geo-tracking as well as other functionality. Nine Systems' Network of Networks will provide channel partners virtually unlimited network capacity, ensuring their customers' content is delivered with the highest quality experience.
As part of the program's introduction, Nine Systems has announced details on its Channel Program, including the respective responsibilities and resulting benefits to both parties. The Nine Systems Channel Sales Program consists of three levels:
* VAR Partner -- Premier level of the channel program. The value-added reseller (VAR) program is a customized solution that offers the VAR Partner an opportunity to generate significant revenue by integrating Stream OS applications and delivery capabilities with their services while rebranding the Stream OS interface. * Reseller Partner -- Targets technology companies who are interested in making Stream OS available as part of their solutions offering. Nine Systems has a comprehensive program that is aimed specifically at enabling a reseller to efficiently sell, manage and support their own independent direct sale of Nine Systems' products and services, including marketing, product support and Stream OS training. Reseller partners have access to Nine Systems' application toolsets and all Stream OS modules. * Affiliate Partner -- Provides an opportunity for affiliate partners to offer Stream OS to their customers. The affiliate partner program is designed to reward partners for referring opportunities to Nine Systems.
"The market has shifted and there are an increasing number of companies that want to offer streaming media as part of their suite of products and services," added Rob Green, Senior Vice President, Business Development and Strategy. "Nine Systems is the only company with the depth of applications, network capacity and operational expertise to make this program possible."
In a separate release, Nine Systems announced it has signed a channel partnership agreement with TalkPoint, a provider of Web-based communications services for online meetings, presentations and conferences, as its first Nine Systems channel partner. This partnership will allow both companies to offer end-to-end rich media management and delivery solutions when delivering interactive webcasting services.
