Arbor Networks' Enterprise Solution Peakflow X 3.6 Named "Hot Pick" By Information Security Magazine

Arbor Networks, Inc., a provider of core-to-core network security and operational performance for global business networks, today announced that its solution for the enterprise market, Arbor Peakflow X 3.6, was named the "Hot Pick" product for the November 2006 issue of Information Security magazine. Featuring increased network visibility and enhanced identity tracking, alerting and reporting functionality, Arbor Peakflow X 3.6 allows enterprises to make more informed, proactive mitigation decisions when faced with a wide range of known and unknown threats, including unauthorized access, data theft, worms, DDoS attacks, malware, phishing, pharming and botnets.
Reviewer Sandra Kay Miller praised Arbor Peakflow X 3.6 for its strong policy control; effectiveness in monitoring and detecting internal threats and anomalous behavior; and automated and on-demand comprehensive reporting. According to Miller, "We threw multiple common internal threats -- rogue wireless access points, network worms and spyware -- at Peakflow X, in addition to implementing user restrictions. In each instance, the product successfully detected and responded to the anomalous behavior." This ability to effectively detect anomalous behavior earned the product an "A" for effectiveness.
Arbor's Active Threat Feed (ATF), a service that automatically provides enterprises with early warning about threats facing their network, received noteworthy remarks from Miller as well.
