OVERLAND PARK, Kan., July 15 /PRNewswire/ -- Sprint today announced that it has expanded its Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) business communication system portfolio with the release of the Sprint i4, a pure Internet protocol (IP) key system, available exclusively through Sprint Authorized Dealers and Sprint North Supply, Sprint's distribution and logistics division.

The Sprint i4 sets a new standard for telephony-over-IP deployments by providing a converged communications solution within a single piece of voice/data hardware for small businesses with less than 40 users. The converged system of IP-enabled applications provides a complete "office in a box" designed to improve a business' unified communications capabilities, customer service and employee productivity.
"The Sprint i4 is the next-generation replacement for the traditional key systems most small businesses use today," said Brad Clark, vice president of marketing and general manager of OEM operations, Sprint. "It is a leader in its class for small-business communication, combining the traditional telephony features small businesses expect with converged capabilities like embedded voicemail, auto attendant, unified messaging and multisite IP networking, all on a single network infrastructure. Small businesses will find the Sprint i4 an extremely affordable way to have cutting-edge communications solutions previously available only to large companies."
Targeting small businesses looking to grow, the key system does not require a pre-existing network and is future-ready with much room for expansion. Additional features include voicemail-to-email forwarding, E911 capabilities, in-building mobility, unified messaging, shared broadband Internet access and more.
The Sprint i4 is part of the Sprint i-Series portfolio of business communications systems that includes other related IP and TDM key systems, phones, conferencing units and software applications.
Sprint North Supply markets a growing portfolio of OEM products including a full suite of future-ready business communications systems and CPE-emphasizing customer-centric design and ISO9001:2000 quality management.
