FireEye Appoints David Butler As Vice President of Sales and Business Development

MENLO PARK, Calif., Nov. 7 /PRNewswire/ -- FireEye, Inc., the leader in network malware control solutions, today announced that it has appointed David Butler as vice president of sales and business development. In this position, Butler will oversee FireEye's sales efforts as the company continues to expand its reach geographically and penetrate new vertical markets.

Butler brings more than 20 years of experience to his new role, including senior management positions with Aruba Networks, FORE Systems, IBM, Inktomi, and Network Systems Corporation. Prior to joining FireEye, Butler served as vice president of worldwide sales and business development for Aruba Networks, where he was responsible for sales growth from zero to well over $100 million per year, and contributed to tripling the company's valuation annually, in less than three years.

Prior to Aruba, Butler was vice president of media sales and channel sales at Inktomi (acquired by Yahoo!) and was responsible for the company's outbound strategy in Internet streaming. At Fore Systems, Butler served as vice president of international sales, where he was responsible for all aspects of international sales operations, growing international revenues from $13 million to more than $120 million in a two-year period. At FORE, Butler also headed the company's federal business division growing sales 600 percent.
