Shaun Holly Named Operations Manager/Program Director at Salem Phoenix

Posted on: Tuesday, 7 November 2006, 18:00 CST

John Timm, general manager of Salem Phoenix, today announced that Shaun Holly has been named operations manager/program director for the two Salem Phoenix radio stations -- KKNT-AM 960 and KPXQ-AM 1360. Holly succeeds Laurie Larson, who now serves as program director for the four Salem Sacramento radio stations.

"Shaun Holly brings tremendous experience in a variety of formats to his new position at Salem Phoenix," said Timm. "His market familiarity will be a strong asset towards taking KKNT and KPXQ to the next level."

With a 22-year career in the Phoenix radio market, Holly most recently served as director of operations for Clear Channel Phoenix. He has held programming positions at KESZ, KNIX, KYOT, KOOL, KGLQ and KMLE.

KPXQ-AM 1360 and KKNT-AM 960 are owned and operated by Salem Communications Corporation (Nasdaq:SALM), a leading U.S. radio broadcaster, Internet content provider and magazine publisher focused on Christian and family-themed content and conservative values. In addition to its radio properties, Salem owns Salem Radio Network(R), which syndicates talk, news and music programming to approximately 2,000 affiliates; Salem Radio Representatives(TM), a national radio advertising sales force; Salem Web Network(TM), a leading Internet provider of Christian content and online streaming; and Salem Publishing(TM), a leading publisher of Christian-themed magazines. Upon the close of all announced transactions, the company will own 98 radio stations, including 64 stations in 23 of the top 25 markets. Additional information about Salem may be accessed at the company's website, www.salem.cc.
