BayPackets and SSE Partner to Bring Enhanced Telecommunications Services To Japan

FREMONT, Calif., Sept. 22 /PRNewswire/ -- BayPackets, Inc., a provider of enhanced voice and data solutions for wireless, wireline and cable operators today announced that it has signed a strategic distribution agreement with Sumisho Electronics Co., Ltd.(SSE), a subsidiary of Sumitomo Corporation. Under terms of the agreement, SSE, a leading Japanese network integrator, will resell BayPackets' Agility Network Services Platform (NSP) and Agility Network Applications throughout Japan.

The agreement with SSE facilitates BayPackets' expansion in the rapidly growing Japanese market for enhanced voice and data services such as advanced toll-free, voice VPN, single number service and unified messaging. Adding BayPackets' technology to its portfolio enables SSE to deliver these services to carriers regardless of their network infrastructure.
