VSEN-TV (Vision Sports Entertainment Network) Completes First Quarter of Operations

Posted on: Monday, 13 November 2006, 15:00 CST

Vision Sports Entertainment Network (VSEN-TV) a Burbank, California-based TV Network has announced it has completed its first quarter of operations as a developing TV network. The announcement was made today at a press conference in Burbank by Rod Myers, President/CEO and Founder of VSEN-TV.

President/CEO Rod Myers stated, "This was a very unique first quarter of operations for the network, but the lessons learned are ones we feel we can build upon for a stronger future. We had to overcome some early technical setbacks that allowed just 60% of our clearance stations to actually go live with us initially. Currently, all of our technical issues have been resolved and we continue moving forward in our rapid growth."

"Overall, I would consider the launch of VSEN-TV a tremendous success, states Myers, we were able to acquire and partner with quality programming that really brought VSEN-TV to the forefront rapidly."

The Arena2 Football League, the World Dirt Racing League, IBL Basketball and Freestyle Fighting were huge factors in our early success. The sports fan base is tremendous and they have supported VSEN-TV affiliates with their viewership. The extreme/outdoor sports programs have done very well and have been a big hit with viewers as well.

"VSEN-TV is working with the appropriate television markets to support the many professional minor leagues we broadcast. We see these markets as a positive positioning tool for VSEN-TV to become well known," stated Myers.

VSEN-TV has established itself quickly in Wichita, Ks, thanks to our KCTU-TV 5 affiliate who has been with the network since the initial launch. WNRT-TV 48 in Hartford, CT is another key for VSEN-TV considering the number of sports teams within their broadcast area, which makes them very attractive for any cable system. Fresno affiliate KSDI-TV 33, who joined less than 3 weeks ago, is already generating a good response. WONS-TV 25 in Buffalo gives VSEN-TV our first major NE city in the USA. The Springfield, MA affiliate, WESA-TV 34 does well within several college campuses broadcasting local team competitions. KJLR-TV 28 in Little Rock has been a tremendous help for VSEN-TV in the Ark-La-Tex region. VSEN-TV sees all of these markets as positive positioning for the network.

"VSEN-TV's immediate plan is to work diligently with cable and satellite operators in markets in which we feel our network belongs," stated Myers. Cities at the top of that list include Los Angeles, New Orleans, Las Vegas, Chicago, Dallas, Atlanta, Miami, New York, Atlantic City and Seattle. VSEN-TV is stepping into the broadband market within the next few days, generating greater network visibility.

VSEN-TV currently has 24 affiliate stations reaching nearly 14.3 million U.S. television homes. VSEN-TV expects have to signed over 60 stations reaching 23 million homes by year's end.
