OVERLAND PARK, Kan., July 26 /PRNewswire/ -- Altering the competitive local-exchange marketplace, Sprint today announced the availability in 35 major markets of Sprint Complete Access, a customizable telecommunications services bundle and new local-access alternative benefiting economy-minded mid-size businesses as well as larger enterprise customers.

Sprint Complete Access provides a competitive alternative to incumbent local phone service while representing a value-added service portfolio that customers can tailor to individual site needs. It consists of a suite of modular local, long-distance and data services that simplifies the complexity of business communications by integrating multiple services from one provider. "Today's complex communications environments require the simplicity, economy and flexibility of one comprehensive portfolio that adjusts to business demands," remarked Howard Janzen, president - Sprint Business Solutions. "While Sprint is currently an experienced local service provider and ILEC in 18 states, Sprint Complete Access establishes Sprint as a viable provider of integrated local service solutions across the country that reduce costs, simplify vendor relationships and consolidate billing."

Sprint Complete Access is the perfect antidote for companies with multiple offices or a multivendor environment with expensive individual services and is flexible enough to handle customer needs ranging from today's traditional TDM voice services up to next-generation VoIP services. Flexible building-block configurations allow adjustment to business needs on a site-by-site basis and set the stage for future service upgrades encompassing wireline/wireless service integration. Three primary service offers are targeted to mid-market and enterprise-level business customers desiring one provider with combinations of local, long-distance and data services on a single bill:

-- Local Exchange Services (business lines, digital PBX trunks, ISDN PRI)

for local loop access to the network for voice services, voice mail

and custom calling features

-- Voice Bundle (local and long-distance). Add Sprint Voice Solutions(SM)

to local exchange, with flexible terms, annual commitment options and

competitive pricing, all on one bill

-- Voice/Data Bundle (local, long-distance and data). Sprint integrated

T1 for customers seeking voice, Internet, intranet and extranet

access; frame-relay or dedicated-IP transfer; voicemail and business

applications at cost savings over traditional trunks and separate

lines; and billed on one invoice.

Businesses taking advantage of the bundles get the added bonus of Sprint PCS wireless pricing discounts (separately billed at this time) and an upgradeable technology platform which further distinguishes the value of the offerings.

Sprint has been successfully providing these services to business customers in St. Louis; Dallas; Houston; Kansas City; Columbus, Ohio; and Orlando, Fla., and is now offering them in an additional 29 markets. "Sprint delivered as promised," commented Bennett Lavine, IT Director for Vaisala, Inc. "We transitioned two T1 data circuits, DIDs and a new PRI from AT&T to Sprint and the team approach to implementation for both voice and data was so impressive that an additional T1 was ordered for our Colorado office." Lavine went on to say, "This is the type of customer service and support that not only gets customers but builds on the relationship."

"Integrated voice and data services are an alternate solution for businesses of all sizes," remarked Diane Myers, Program Manager, Stratecast Partners. "Sprint's Complete Access offering provides businesses the ability to bundle services with a single provider at competitive price points."

With Sprint Complete Access, customers can simplify communications operations and administration, lower operating costs by converging voice and data on the same facilities and set the stage for future Sprint wireline/wireless integrated solutions.
