Advanced Technology Systems, Inc., a leading information technology (IT) company that delivers innovative technology solutions to federal, state, and local government organizations, today announced that it will provide IT infrastructure services to the Cooperative State Research, Education, and Extension Service (CSREES), an agency of the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA).

As a subcontractor to Fairfax, Va.-based Electronic Consulting Services, Inc. (ECS), Advanced Technology Systems will provide technology support services for the design, implementation, and maintenance of the CSREES infrastructure, as well as tier 2 help desk support. ECS will provide additional support services including computer network management, desktop and server monitoring and administration, network router and firewall management services, Wide Area Network interface management, system level and policy based security management, management of wireless devices, email administration and helpdesk services. The contract was awarded for one year with up to four option years. Advanced Technology Systems' portion of the contract award is valued at $700,000.

"We look forward to working with ECS and USDA staff to provide CSREES with an efficient, flexible, and adaptive technology infrastructure," said Shannon Brown, Vice President of Operations at Advanced Technology Systems.

CSREES provides Federal assistance funding, including grants and cooperative agreements, to advance a global system of research, extension, and higher education in the food and agricultural sciences and related environmental and human sciences to benefit people, communities, and the Nation. CSREES relies on an efficient, responsive, and adaptable IT environment to facilitate the achievement of its mission.

Advanced Technology Systems has agreed to be acquired by Federal Services Acquisition Corporation, a blank check company that was formed to acquire an operating business in the federal services and defense industries ("Federal Services") (OTC Bulletin Board: FDSA, FDSAU, FDSAW). The transaction is expected to close in late 2006. Interested parties are urged to read Federal Services' preliminary proxy statement and, when available, its definitive proxy statement (the "Proxy Statements") for its special meeting of stockholders to be held in connection with approval of the transaction. The Proxy Statements can be obtained without charge at the Securities and Exchange Commission's internet site at (http://www.sec.gov). The definitive proxy statement, when available, may also be obtained from Federal Services without charge by directing a request to Federal Services Acquisition Corporation, 900 Third Avenue, 33rd Floor, New York, New York 10022-4775.

Advanced Technology Systems' recent wins with the Veterans Health Administration and State of Alabama are highlighted in press releases issued on October 26 and October 3, respectively, and are available on the Advanced Technology Systems website at http://www.atsva.com/news.cfm.
