Blue7 Communications, a fabless semiconductor company focusing on Ultra-Wideband (UWB) wireless chipsets and solutions, announced today that it successfully completed its demonstration of its UWB prototype system to key partners and potential customers in consumer electronics and home entertainment industries. The demonstration was held at Techno Systems Research Co.'s office in Tokyo, Japan, from July 14 to July 18. Blue7's UWB prototype included a complete reference system with RF, PHY, MAC, microprocessor and applications software. At the demo show, Blue7 system streamed audio and video simultaneously from laptop to laptop and large screen display at the rate of 20 Mbps over the air. It also included Ethernet interface that allowed users to access the Internet wirelessly.
"We have successfully demonstrated our unique technologies and capabilities to our partners and potential customers," stated Mr. Hung Nguyen, President and CEO of Blue7. "Everyone was pleased and impressed to see our UWB system working with proprietary and compelling technologies that will definitely help them to differentiate their products in the competitive market," continued Mr. Nguyen.
"Blue7's mission is to develop and produce the best-of-class Ultra-Wideband Wireless System-on-a-Chip and reference Systems/Software with our proprietary technologies that offer high performance, extremely low power, and extended range at a significant cost advantage," added Mr. Shinji Inoue, Director of Marketing, Asia. "We believe in the Power of Partnership and we would like to work together with consumer electronics and home entertainment companies as early as possible," added Mr. Inoue.
