CommVault QiNetix Software Supports Microsoft Exchange Server 2007 and Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2007 With Optimized 64-Bit Windows Server Support

OCEANPORT, N.J., Dec. 6 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- CommVault(R) , a leading provider of Unified Data Management(R) solutions, today announced that its CommVault QiNetix(TM) software will support Microsoft Exchange Server 2007 and Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2007. Using key Microsoft Windows-based components, this latest capability bolsters CommVault's position as a provider of advanced data management and protection for heterogeneous enterprises and will enable its customers to meet compliance guidelines and leverage the speed and performance of the 2007 Microsoft Office system.

QiNetix software will help customers rapidly upgrade to Exchange Server 2007 while adhering to compliance guidelines for preservation of data. In addition, customers will be able to restore messages and mailboxes from previous versions of Exchange Server (Exchange Server 5.5, Exchange Server 2000 and Exchange Server 2003). Designed to fully leverage the performance benefits of Exchange Server 2007, QiNetix significantly enhances the performance of data backup, restore, archive and compliance management in an enterprise by simplifying writing of data to various media devices connected to x64 servers.

The same rapid upgrade capability is also provided for Office SharePoint Server 2007 and Microsoft Windows SharePoint Services 3.0. CommVault's QiNetix will help to restore granular items from Microsoft SharePoint 2003 versions, enabling customers to access and restore data from previous versions of the application.
