Cryptography Research, Inc. Expands Team to Support Accelerated Business Development of Digital Content Protection Technology

Cryptography Research, Inc. (CRI), a world leader in security systems, today announced the hiring of Robert Ross as vice president of business development, content protection. Ross will help lead the company's anti-piracy licensing business and will focus on the BD+ digital anti-piracy solution which is part of the Blu-ray Disc format.

"Rob has a strong track record of success, and his expertise in business development and digital media will guide us as we continue to grow and help our clients fight fraud and piracy," said Paul Kocher, president and chief scientist at CRI.

Ross, 43, previously helped build several successful digital media, software and security companies. He has forged strategic partnerships with leading internet content providers and technology companies including Microsoft, Yahoo, AOL, IBM, Reuters, Sprint, Verizon, AT&T, Motorola, SBC, DirecTV, Intel, Sun, Cisco and Real Networks. Prior to joining CRI, Ross was vice president of business development at Zero G Software where he helped lead the company through its acquisition by Macrovision. Ross also worked as vice president of business development at Adero and vice president of strategic alliances at ValiCert. He has also held senior sales and business development roles at Individual, Inc., where he developed client relationships and product partnerships with leading internet service, content and technology providers. Ross holds a bachelor's degree in political science from Duke University.
