The Go! Search technology developed and launched by Canadian business intelligence firm Cognos Inc earlier this year has been tweaked to support IBM Corp's new OmniFind Yahoo! Edition enterprise search software.
IBM launched its new OmniFind Yahoo! Edition software last week which bundles Yahoo!'s Internet search engine into a free entry-level addition to its OmniFind enterprise search product.
Cognos' new line of Go! branded products are intended to extend the use of its BI technology to a wider constituency of business users by easing end user access to BI information.
Go! Search, launched in May, lets Cognos users access BI data through Google Inc's OneBox for Enterprise software. In addition to search, Ottawa-based Cognos has also rolled out Go! versions for Microsoft Office and mobile devices.
