Internet Media Analyst Denise Garcia Joins A.G. Edwards

ST. LOUIS, Dec. 20 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Denise Garcia has joined A.G. Edwards & Sons, Inc., the brokerage subsidiary of St. Louis-based financial services firm A.G. Edwards, Inc. , as an analyst in the company's Securities Research Department. Based in the firm's New York satellite office, Garcia will focus her equity research coverage on the Internet media sector, following familiar names such as Yahoo and Google as well as other interactive media companies.
Garcia was previously the Internet research analyst for W.R. Hambrecht & Co., a San Francisco-based investment bank specializing in technology. Prior to her time at W.R. Hambrecht, Garcia served as vice president, advertising and media, for GartnerG2, a subsidiary of the Stamford, Conn., based research firm Gartner. There she did consulting work for media conglomerates, technology providers, advertisers and advertising agencies.
Before joining Gartner, Garcia worked for 10 years in the media industry, where she developed new media advertising business models, marketing and sales strategies, and interactive advertising integration. She earned a bachelor's degree in English from San Jose State University and is currently a member of The Advertising Club of New York.
