National Datacomputer, Inc., (NDI) (OTC Bulletin Board: IDCP-News), a provider of mobile computing solutions for the food and beverage industry, today announced Heritage Beverage, a leading distributor of Miller, Coors and Labatts brewing companies, is deploying RouteRider(R) LE in an initial pilot to support its mobile route accounting initiatives. The pilot, the first stage in rolling out RouteRider LE throughout the organization, is designed to support Heritage Beverage's efforts to increase sales, reduce costs, and enhance customer service by tracking accounting, ordering and distribution operations more efficiently and accurately.
"With RouteRider LE we'll be able to instantly monitor our sales and retail activity in the field at any given time," said Scott Siegel CEO of Heritage Beverage. "In addition, through RouterRider LE's business intelligence capabilities and analytics, we will be able to form stronger relationships with our customers by learning more about their ordering patterns. As a result, this will allow us to anticipate our customers' needs and partner with them to make better business decisions."
RouterRider LE provides major food and beverage distributors with a robust mobile route accounting solution to track operations more efficiently while increasing sales and reducing costs. Featuring a full color easy-to-use graphical user interface, RouteRider LE allows field sales to spend more time selling and serving customers by automating the ordering and accounting functions. More specifically, RouteRider LE communicates via advanced cellular and wireless technologies, which allow sales representatives on the road to gain instant access to important updates regarding customer accounts from any PDA. This powerful feature combined with a repository of route data and an intuitive user interface will provide up-to-the-minute information from any browser.
RouteRider LE enables the seamless integration with any host environment to mobile computers running on any wireless handheld device that supports Microsoft's Pocket PC or Windows CE. RouteRider LE runs on devices manufactured by Hewlett-Packard, Hoeft & Wessel, Intermec, Symbol and others allowing the mobile workforce to match the tool to the job function. Middleware components such as communications servers, email servers and database servers are also available to meet customers' needs.
"We're very excited to work with Heritage Beverage on this pilot to address their critical business challenges," said Bill Berens, NDI's vice president of sales and marketing. "Heritage Beverage is part of a select group working toward implementing an innovative solution in mobile route accounting. They know that one of the keys to strategic competitiveness is equipping sales teams with valuable information anytime, anywhere, and we can provide it."
