TDS, U.S. Cellular to sell wireless assets to Alltel

Alltel Corp., which sells wireless and local telephone service in 26 U.S
. states, has agreed to buy wireless assets from U.S. Cellular Corp. and TDS Telecom for $140 million. The purchase includes the cell towers and access to customers in Florida, Georgia, Mississippi, North Carolina, Ohio and in Eau Claire, Wis. and is expected to close in the fourth quarter.Related Articles
