Publicis & Hal Riney will provide the Sprint Local Consumer Division with creative and account-planning services for mass-media advertising. Sprint's local division offers customers a single source for local, long-distance, DSL, wireless and video.

"As Sprint continues to look for ways to better align our business practices, we've chosen to consolidate many of our advertising efforts with Publicis & Hal Riney," said Steve Carter, vice president - Marketing, Sprint Local Telecommunications Division. "Publicis & Hal Riney has a proven track record with Sprint and has been an integral part in creating the success behind our wireless division."

In recent months, the Sprint Business Solutions account also moved to Publicis & Hal Riney. The agency will provide creative, account-planning and media services. Sprint Business tailors wireline, wireless, voice and data solutions for companies of all sizes.

"We're excited to work with Steve Carter and his marketing team to help them achieve their business goals for Sprint Local Consumer Solutions. We're looking to leverage our experience with wireless and business to create synergies for the Sprint brand across all divisions," said Michael Dobak Vice President, Account Director at Publicis & Hal Riney.

Publicis & Hal Riney has been the agency of record for the company's wireless division since 1996. The partnership resulted in a hugely successful, brand-building campaign that first introduced the "Sprint Guy," the brand icon featured in Sprint PCS TV spots who identifies and solves consumers' confusion with wireless services.
