NetLogic Microsystems Enhances Integrated Development Environment for Intel IXP2XXX Network Processors

Support of Linux Operating System Provides Greater Flexibility for Intel Network Processor-Based System Designs
NetLogic Microsystems, Inc. (Nasdaq:NETL), the leader in the design and development of knowledge-based processors, today announced an improved integrated development environment (IDE) for Intel(R) IXP2400 and IXP28XX network processors with ability to support the Linux operating system. The Linux support further enhances NetLogic Microsystems' IDE that speeds the development and design process for its customers.

NetLogic Microsystems' IDE currently provides complete software and hardware development kits (SDK and HDK), allowing system designers to test and evaluate integral system interoperability and develop application software in a pre- and post-hardware environment, greatly accelerating system development and time-to-market. The added Linux support capabilities enable NetLogic Microsystems to provide greater flexibility for customers utilizing enhanced operating systems.
