The release date and price for the seventh and final Harry Potter book has not been released but it has already topped the Amazon.co.uk book chart.
Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows reached the number one spot eight hours after customers were offered the chance to reserve a copy on the Web Site, the Daily Mail reported Tuesday.
Amazon's head of books, Christopher North, called this an incredible achievement.
The fact that this is the final installment seems to have heightened the excitement and buzz around this Harry Potter title, he said. If the initial response is anything to go by, this could be the biggest selling Harry Potter of all time.
The book's release date has not been announced, but it can be reserved for $27.
The message on Amazon reads: The title of the seventh and final Harry Potter book has been announced, and the rumors are circulating -- what are the Deathly Hallows? Who will make it through to the end?
