Troy Man Starts Firm to Offer Support — for Computers
By Carol Cain, Detroit Free Press
Jan. 14–Company: CaDSys LLC
Owner: Tim Martin, 40, a lifelong Troy resident, started his firm three years ago. It focuses on helping mostly automotive clients with their computer and information and technology needs.
New chapter: Martin just added a new Web site, www.troycomputerguy.com.
“I provide IT support to residential as well as small-business customers,” he said. That could be “anything from hooking up a wireless connection to completely revamping a business’ computer system,” he explained.
His residential business has grown since he began offering service six months ago.
Computer days: Martin grew up during the creation of the PC and bought his first computer at age 12 with money he earned from delivering newspapers.
Community impact: Martin said he’s actively involved in helping the community. He donates time to schools and other organizations to help them with their computer issues. He also helped set up large-screen showing of movies that raised funds for hurricane survivors.
“One of the joys of running a local business is being able to give back to the community,” he said.
