Carrius Technologies' Compleat(TM)-200 Strengthens Leadership Position in the Network Layer Service Delivery Market
Posted on: Wednesday, 17 January 2007, 12:00 CST
Carrius Technologies Inc., a leading developer of Network Layer Service Delivery Platform software for the growing telecom application marketplace, today announced the release of enhanced performance and signaling capability on its Compleat-200 Network Layer Service Delivery Platform. The new release of the Compleat-200 expands SS7 variant support and increases simultaneous transactions per second performance.
"With today's announcement, Carrius Technologies continues to define the market for purpose-built Network Layer Service Delivery solutions," said Carrius President and CEO, Chris Todd. "Our Compleat-200 decreases the time it takes to bring new applications to market and enables application developers, SDP vendors, and service providers to leverage exciting new applications on evolving networks."
This release improves on the Compleat-200's field-proven ability to speed time to market when connecting applications to disparate evolving networks. By adding greater capacity and performance, Carrius continues to exceed the requirements of leading tier 1 wireless and wireline communication providers. As consumer demand for services increases, the combination of enhanced performance capabilities and unmatched flexibility and scalability allows application developers and service providers to efficiently and seamlessly expand services.
The introduction of enhanced signaling capabilities, such as Sigtran-based signaling support for GSM networks, increases Carrius' ability to provide feature transparency between wireless and wireline networks and further extends their network connectivity leadership position. This transparency support is important to applications such as: IVR, prepaid, ring back, presence, optimal call routing, and missed call alert. Furthermore, by simultaneously supporting application connectivity to legacy and next generation networks, the Compleat-200 ensures that investments in legacy applications continue to produce meaningful revenue.
New features in this release include:
-- 4X Performance Increase - Improves reliability and resiliency delivering up to 1/2 million BHCA -- SS7 over Sigtran - Simplifies SS7 management and eliminates the need for signaling gateways -- MAP for GSM Networks - Eliminates the need to build associated signaling support within applications -- Improved SIP Element Management - Dynamically starts, stops and reroutes media server traffic -- UK ISUP - Increases the leading ISUP support capabilities of the network layer solution
