Comcast Spotlight Joins Fylmz Festival As Television Media Sponsor

The Fylmz Festival, the live event culmination of a six-month online film discovery process offering a $100,000 top prize, today announced that it has entered into a sponsorship agreement with Comcast Spotlight, the advertising sales division of Comcast, the country’s largest provider of cable services. As television media sponsor, Comcast will provide The Fylmz Festival with extensive broadcast support across the region.

Tony Vidmer, Fylmz Festival Founder, says this Comcast Spotlight support breaks new ground for Fylmz, allowing it to embrace new marketing vehicles and reach a growing audience of media-savvy consumers. “It’s a great coup to see Comcast Spotlight providing such great support for our Festival and our filmmakers,” Vidmer says. “This agreement is highly relevant for us.”

The first annual Fylmz Festival will take place February 8-10, 2007 at the Belcourt Theatre in Nashville, TN. Semi-finalist films in the Fylmz Festival competition include performances by Cheri O’Teri, William Baldwin, Ricki Lake, Vanessa Williams, Rachel Miner, Jack Noseworthy, Larisa Oleynik and other notables.
