PROVO — Utah County’s main vice squad has arrested three people and confiscated drugs worth about $20,000 on the street over the past week.

The Utah County Major Crimes Task Force made the arrests and found the drugs while conducting warranted searches at two homes.

The first arrest, made Tuesday night, was at a home near 100 N. Main in Lindon. During the search, officers found nearly 20 Oxycontin pills and a loaded firearm. The pills have a street value of nearly $1,400, said Lt. Mike Forshee, field director for the Utah County Major Crimes Task Force.

The 20-year-old Lindon man was arrested and booked into the Utah County Jail for investigation of possession of a controlled substance without a prescription and possession of a weapon by a restricted person.

Early the next morning, while conducting another search with a warrant, officers found approximately 9.2 ounces of cocaine — with a street value of almost $20,000 — at a home near 1200 W. 1200 North in Provo, Forshee said.

Two men, ages 22 and 35, were booked into the jail for investigation of possession of a controlled substance with the intent to distribute.
