TV Guide Channel Renews Celebrity Makeover Series ``LOOK-A-LIKE'' For Season Three

Posted on: Monday, 22 January 2007, 12:00 CST

TV Guide Channel®, a leading entertainment network providing original programming to nearly 80 million homes, has green-lit the successful makeover series, LOOK-A-LIKE for a third season premiering on May 30, 2007. The announcement was made today by TV Guide Channel President Ryan O'Hara.

"TV Guide Channel's third season of LOOK-A-LIKE is going to be better than ever. Our viewers can look forward to enjoying all of the amazing makeovers they have come to know on one of our highest rated shows," said O'Hara.

New for season three, TV Guide Channel is holding a "My Celebrity LOOK-A-LIKE Contest" on MySpace.com, the leading social networking and lifestyle portal, providing one lucky viewer the chance to be a makeover contestant on the production of the show. Beginning January 24, 2007, MySpace users will be able to upload photos of themselves to TV Guide Channel's MySpace profile at http://www.myspace.com/tvguidechannel, telling which celebrity they think they look like. TV Guide Channel will select five finalists and allow MySpace users to make the final vote. The winner will receive roundtrip airfare for two to Canada, hotel accommodations for four nights, meal allowance and roundtrip airport transfers. Participants in the contest must be 18 years of age and the contest is open to residents of the U.S. and Canada.

Doug Yates, senior vice president, Consumer Marketing, TV Guide Channel said, "Our viewers are really passionate about this show so it is a perfect fit for MySpace. We already receive a ton of viewer mail with great photos from celebrity look-alikes, so we are excited to maximize the power of MySpace to reach a whole new legion of fans."

Season three of LOOK-A-LIKE will include 26 episodes featuring regular everyday people as they are transformed into their favorite celebrity with makeup, wardrobe and their very own photo shoot. LOOK-A-LIKE is TV Guide Channel's highest rated series averaging a .4 HH coverage rating for its weekly premiere in 2006. Ratings for season two of LOOK-A-LIKE grew by more than 30% compared to season one in 2005.

LOOK-A-LIKE is produced by Kaleidoscope Entertainment, Inc.
