Robbery in PUB Toilets
A VULNERABLE man has been robbed by a pair of thieves in a cubicle of a pub’s toilets.The 40-year-old man, who has learning difficulties, went into the toilets in the Emporium, Hartlepool, and was followed by a male and female.The man punched him three times and pushed him into a cubicle, at which point the female took a quantity of cash from his pocket.It is not believed anyone else was in the toilets at the time, but police are trying to trace any witnesses in the vicinity of the toilets who may have information about the attackers.The robbery took place at 4.30pm on Thursday, January 11.Anyone with information is asked to contact Detective Constable John Roberts on 01642-302126. A male and female have been arrested and released on bail pending further inquiries.
