Icams.Com Debuts Today With Free Live Video Broadcasting and a Chat for Cash Incentive

Icams.com, a free online service that features live video broadcasting and a chance for members to earn cash just for chatting, will launch today, January 24th. Icams.com offers filmmakers, bands and just Joe or Jane Everyman a chance to make money online from webcasts.

Icams.com is a product of PPM Technology Group, Inc., a Palo Alto-based technology startup company. It features unlimited bandwidth and storage of photos and videos, advanced search capabilities and unique distribution and payment systems. As part of the launch program Icams.com will pay members up to $2 an hour just for turning on their webcams and chatting online, with the payout growing as the number of people in the chat room increases.

In another unique twist, Icams.com lets bands, comedians, singers and other entertainers charge a per minute fee to members to watch their webcasts.

The service has already proven to be popular; in a one-month soft-launch beta test format PPM Technology Group signed up 2,000-3,000 registered users daily. An embedded payment system allows users to store funds on the site for use when they access paid content.

Members can access content at any time, using the full range of web browsers and operating systems such as Windows, Mac and Linux to upload pre-recorded music, photos and videos to their Icams.com pages. Icams will not permit the broadcast of copyrighted material, nude or other content that may be illegal or violate the company's terms of service.
