Mactive and Harger Howe Announce the Formation of AdDogs(R), the Universal Advertising and Media Web Marketplace

Posted on: Wednesday, 24 January 2007, 18:00 CST

AdDogs®, a newly formed venture to construct, market and operate a web marketplace designed to bring advertisers and media together was announced today by its partners Mactive of Melbourne, Florida and Harger Howe, of Houston, Texas. Rod Proto, CEO of AdDogs, commented, "We are gratified that the dual benefits of enhanced revenue generating opportunities and reduced operating costs for the media have been captured in the system. We expect that the combination of Mactive technology with fresh solutions about how easiest to bring advertisers and media together will rapidly become the industry standard." Scott Roessler, CEO & President of Mactive, adds, "AdDogs represents a revolutionary approach in the ease with which advertisers can access the marketing power of the media; print media, in particular. The print media has been ripe for someone to take the lead in bringing easy internet access to all publications and we believe AdDogs is the solution."

AdDogs utilizes patent-pending technology that will allow an advertiser to create an advertisement, decide where to place it, price it and insert it in multiple media outlets without regard to the technical differences among publications. AdDogs will also be capable of reverse-publishing traditional print ads to the web. From the publishers' point of view AdDogs represents enhanced revenue opportunities due to its 24-hour accessibility and visibility on the internet and also as a result of AdDogs' own national advertising efforts which will begin later in 2007. Rates will be controlled by the media through a media entry point into the website or by AdDogs itself using the media's published rate data. The system will have the ability to apply confidential contract rates for specific customers as controlled by the particular media. In addition, the cost benefits of receiving insertion ready advertising compatible with most industry front end publishing systems and bypassing any customer service or help desk support is significant. For advertising agencies, the system will be fully available for ad building, media selection and insertion and other ancillary functions. Site development is well advanced and commercial roll out to the advertisers is expected second quarter 2007.

AdDogs is being unleashed January 28th at the Newspaper Association of America Marketing Conference, Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino, Las Vegas. For further inquiries call Rod Proto, 832-485-7102 or Dana Kingshill, 832-485-7123 at AdDogs or John Herbst, 321-254-5559 at Mactive.
