Ampro Selects NEC Flat Panel Display Module for Industrial Panel Computer

SAN JOSE, Calif., Feb. 1 /PRNewswire/ -- Ampro Computers, Inc., a leading supplier of standards-based computer systems and single-board computers, announces the new ReadyPanel 10 industrial panel computer with the NEC LCD Technologies NL10276BC20-04 liquid crystal display (LCD) module supplied by NEC Electronics America. The ReadyPanel 10 panel PC is designed to meet a broad range of panel computer applications that can enable customer's rapid deployment of digital signage, human-machine interface (HMI), medical, and operator control applications.

The new ReadyPanel 10 all-in-one panel PC solution includes a standard EPIC form factor Pentium(R) processor-compatible single-board computer (SBC) and an NEC LCD 10.4-inch XGA color flat panel display module that provides 1024 x 768 resolution. The LCD, SBC, and touch screen are integrated into a compact 11" x 8.5" x 5.5" enclosure. ReadyPanel offers performance scalability to meet varying application demands by integrating the EPIC-compatible SBC that most suits the application demands and environment.

ReadyPanel 10 is an application-ready system solution for HMI, digital signage, medical, and operator control environments that require higher resolution with scalable performance. ReadyPanel offers a selection of Ampro ReadyBoard(TM) SBCs with processor speeds ranging from 500 MHz for fanless operation to 1.4 GHz with the Pentium(R) M processor, bringing scalability and high computing performance with low power consumption in a compact panel computer. Featuring a 10.4-inch color thin-film transistor (TFT) LCD module with integrated resistive touch screen, ReadyPanel 10 is an ideal combination of PC and industrial-grade construction, and can be configured with memory sizes up to 1 GB DRAM.

This product is an all-in-one solution that provides standard connectors for easy access to USB ports, RJ-45 Ethernet port(s), serial ports (DB9), CRT video (when required) ports, PS/2 keyboard and mouse ports, and audio ports. External access to the CompactFlash slot is through a convenient EMI-protected cover. ReadyPanel 10 includes a CANbus option, and operates on an external +12V or +24V DC power input. Additional I/O ports can be added for rapid customization.

Ampro's ReadyPanel 10 is offered with embedded Linux, Windows(R) XP Embedded, or Windows CE 5.0 operating system. An optional 2.5" HDD is also available for use with the Windows XP Pro operating system or with desktop Linux(R) applications.
