AT&T Positioned in the Leaders Quadrant in Latest Asia Pacific Network Service Provider Magic Quadrant
Posted on: Monday, 5 February 2007, 09:00 CST
HONG KONG, Feb. 5 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- AT&T Inc. today announced that it has been positioned by Gartner in the Leaders Quadrant in the "Magic Quadrant for Asia Pacific Network Service Providers (NSPs) 2006" report. The report evaluates Asia Pacific NSPs on the criteria of ability to execute and completeness of vision.
According to the report, leaders are said to "demonstrate strong vision, especially in terms of defining future market needs. They back their vision by investing ahead of competitors, very often in new or unproven areas, and are generally well-positioned for the future. Significant differences exist between the lead players in terms of strategy and execution, and none excel in all areas. However, their long-term outcome is not clear, as continued challenges in the industry may yet derail their plans."
Gopi Gopinath, vice president AT&T Asia Pacific said, "We are delighted to be positioned in the Leaders' Quadrant in the latest Gartner Magic Quadrant for Asia Pacific Network Service Providers 2006. We believe this demonstrates that AT&T has become even stronger after consolidating our merger with SBC. We believe being positioned in the leaders' quadrant in Asia Pacific is a testament to our customer-oriented approach in bringing superior quality networking services to enterprises across the region through our extensive network."
