Data Drive Thru Announces File Transfer Tool for Vista Users

Posted on: Tuesday, 6 February 2007, 09:00 CST

Data Drive Thru, Inc.™ today announces that their product The Tornado™ allows users of the new Windows operating system Vista to easily transfer all their pictures, music, documents, spreadsheets, presentations and other data and files from their old systems to their new Vista enabled machines by simply plugging in two USB cords.

"Vista users will be able to easily transfer My Pictures, My Music and My Documents and any other types of files from their old PC to their new Vista PC using The Tornado," states Clint Hughes, VP of Marketing and Business Development for Data Drive Thru. "Unlike other solutions that require separate cables and lengthy manual software installations, you just plug The Tornado into the computers' USB port and within seconds you can start to move your 'stuff' from your old PC to your new PC." Other solutions in the marketplace advertising Vista transfer capabilities require hours of installation and set-up procedures compared to only a few seconds with The Tornado™.

The Tornado is the first automated, self-contained computer file transfer device. Small enough to fit into a pocket, The Tornado features two retractable USB cables and networks two PCs in a matter of seconds simply by plugging it in to the USB port of each computer. A user-friendly, split screen automatically appears showing the entire contents of each computer and allows for a simple drag and drop action to move files from one PC to another at speeds up to 25 Mb per second. The Tornado can also be used to quickly back up files to another machine and is compatible with most Microsoft operating system programs including Windows 98 SE, Windows ME, Windows 2000, Windows XP and Microsoft's new Vista operating system.

The Tornado, CES audience winner of Yahoo! Tech's "Last Gadget Standing" competition at the 2007 International Consumer Electronics Show, has earned its national acclaim as "the Best Gadget" by providing an easy solution to the technical needs of everyday consumers and techies alike.

"We listen to the needs of the average PC user which now makes up a significant buying group within the PC industry," states Paul Andrus, CEO and Founder of Data Drive Thru. "We provide easy, simple and fast solutions to the obstacles that are often created by the large eight-hundred pound gorilla technology companies when they release new products."

The Tornado is available at www.thetornado.com for $59.95. For more information, visit www.datadrivethru.com or contact Clint Hughes at 972-897-7057 chughes@datadrivethru.com
