Foonz Launches First Mobile Voice Social Networking Service
Posted on: Tuesday, 6 February 2007, 09:00 CST
Talking to groups of people on your mobile phone has never been easier. Today Foonz introduces the first service that lets anyone call a group of people instantly, for free, from any phone regardless of the carrier or service provider.
Making a Group Call Easy and Free
To get started anyone can set up a free account at www.foonz.com, get a Foonz number and create their own Foonz contact list with groups of contacts-- such as 'ultimate Frisbee team,' 'friends back home', 'work group' etc. To start a group call, users simply dial their Foonz number and invite the group of their choice to participate.
Foonz uses text messages to invite people to group calls. Group members simply dial the number they receive in the text message and are automatically joined to the right group call. If some of the invitees cannot join, the person who initiated the call can leave a message and Foonz will notify the missing participants that a message is waiting for them.
Foonz also gives the option of leaving a message for a whole group without starting a call.
Connect with your Social Network, Anytime
With Foonz, anyone can talk with their friends, family or any group on one call, anytime, using only the minutes of a single call. Foonz is attracting a growing community of users, such as:
Casual users finding friends out on the town
Club members planning parties and club events
Students working on group projects
Team communication
Family members connecting throughout the country
Small businesses conducting on-the-fly meetings
With Foonz, there's no need to call people one by one, wonder if they read your email or plan meetings in advance. Anyone can dial one number and get a group of people on the phone, right now.
Foonz will be adding additional social networking features to its service over the coming months.
