Chinese company to provide telecom equipment to Romania
BEIJING, Aug. 20 (Xinhua) -- Chinese telecom equipment manufacture China ZTE Corporation will cooperate with Romania's POStelecom in the construction of the Romanian national telecom network in the coming three years.
According to an agreement signed here Wednesday, the Romanian side will use the Chinese company's equipment and technology to build a commercial network for data transmission and fixed telephone service.
Chinese President Hu Jintao and visiting Romanian President Ion Iliescu attended the signing ceremony.
The telecom products of China ZTE Corporation have been exported to many countries, including India, Russia, Nigeria and Ethiopia. In the first half of this year, the company received overseas orders worth 100 million US dollars.
