Ming Has Youth in His Site

ELDERLY Lib Dem leader Sir Menzies Campbell has joined an online networking site – so he can keep in touch with younger voters.

Ming, 65, has added his profile to popular website Facebook where he has 173 very diverse “friends”.

One fan called Emily writes on his site: “Babe, you’re so hot right now xxx”. Another says: “I can’t believe you wanted to be my friend!! I’m so, like, honoured.”

Other Facebook users include Prince Harry, girlfriend Chelsy Davy, Culture Secretary Tessa Jowell and Celebrity Big Brother’s Shilpa Shetty.

While most members post pictures of themselves on drunken nights out, Ming wears a soberlooking suit and yellow tie and is seen posing outside Westminster.

The Lib Dem has even inspired a fan group called “Proud To Be A Minger”.

A spokesman said: “He thought it was a good website and a good way of keeping up to date with young people.”
